Description

The dried lake is one of the two stages the player may find themselves in when they start the game. It appears as a "lake" that has gone through a thorough drying process, ridding it of all water. The landscape is filled with underwater rock formations, dried aquatic plants and corals, shipwrecks, skeletal remains of fish-like creatures, wooden poles with barnacles on them, and many more things that hint towards the land's aqueous past.

Enviromental Log

A massive desert filled with boardwalks and ten-foot crabs. I'm shoked that this is anywhere near the forest I was just in, but I can still see those mountains in the distance - All that greenery traded for dust and skeletons. I would think these catwalks were built to protect from the hot sand below, but these wrecked ships are buried in such shallow dunes. When was there water here? Rain hits my helmet and sizzles at my feet. The overcast sky softens the shadows of petrified barnacles cast over the distant wooden structures. They're held together like old junk in a garage. I can feel the planks bow under my weight, but I'd rather take my chance than wade through a muddy sea of claws and mandibles.

Prisms

Artificer Prism

• The prism can be found on Stage Variant #3. Get to the very top left of the stage by the fishing skeleton and hug the wall to fall out of bounds. Fall back in bounds immediatly to land on a ledge at the bottom. Mobility items like Hopoo Feather and Photon Jetpack can help with this. Once on the secret ledge, continue to the right and search around until the prism is found.

Trivia

• Dried Lake, being an intro stage, is the only one of two stages that shares its epithet (Ground Zero) with another (Desolate Forest).
  • In addition to this, Desolate Forest and Dried Lake are the only stages to share their epithet with different Risk of Rain 2 stages (Distant Roost, Titanic Plains, and Siphoned Forest).
