Evolved Lemurians are monsters and enemies in Risk of Rain Returns
Description
Evolved Lemurians are a winged variant of the Lemurian. Their main distinguishing trait are their extended digits, which developed into full blown wings.
Just like their terrestrial relatives, their bodies are partially covered with armor. Unlike them, their scales are of a red bordo color, with a lighter shade of red lining their abdomen and inner limbs.
Behavior
Evolved Lemurians passively fly through the air, ignoring obstacles and trying to remain close to the player. They attack by charging towards their target from an angle in a flurry of swipes.
Occasionally, either passively or after missing an attack, Evolved Lemurians will ground themselves and proceed on foot, behaving as a normal Lemurian, using a bite as their method of attack.
Evolved Lemurians have the same mass as regular Lemurians, being susceptible to staggers and stuns.

Could this be a distant cousin of the Lemurians below? An ancient evolutionary leap? These airborne reptiles do not interact with the ground Lemurians except to harass them occasionally. Perhaps there is some kind of natural feud between the species?
It is the membranous skin that attaches their long arms to their body which enables their flight. Each wingtip culminates in vicious talons. When they come in flocks these winged Lemurians are capable of great carnage.
Version History
- Fixed a frame-perfect crash when an Evolved Lemurian took flight and died at the same time.

- The Evolved Lemurian's sprite files are named "LizardF", which likely stands for "Lizard Flying".
